Back Premier League: West Ham make offer for AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca

Premier League side West Ham have made a £15m bid for AC Milan forward Carlos Bacca, according to SkySports sources. The Serie A club value the player at 19 million pounds, so there might be a negotiation between the two parties during the following days. Carlos Bacca, Colombian international aged 29, has joined AC Milan from Sevilla last summer for 21 million pounds. He scored 18 league goals for Milan last season.

West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan has already expressed his desire to bring a "top striker" at the club this summer and also said that he would be willing to spend up to 30 million pounds for the right player. They have already made offers for Alexandre Lacazette and Callum Wilson but both were turned down. The Hammers are also interested in Christian Benteke and Michy Batshuayi.

West Ham have made their first signing of the summer as Havard Nordveit joined the club from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach. "We have done well with our signings and we hope we can sign a few more this summer who will do equally as well or better," David Sullivan said. "We know that we need a top striker which is the hardest thing to sign. We need a 20-goal-a-season striker and that will cost us £25m or £30m. That is where the bulk of the money goes."

West Ham are 10/1 at SkyBet to finish inside the Premier League top four next season.
