Manchester City ended a disappointing season with a 1-1 draw at Swansea City last weekend, a result that allowed them to finish fourth and play in the Champions League next season. Things have been better in the Champions League, where the club reached the semi-finals for the first time, and they have also lifter the League Cup after a victory over Liverpool on penalties in the final. Manager Manuel Pellegrini has ended his spell at the club, and star striker Sergio Aguero expects new boss Pep Guardiola to put pressure on his players in order to succeed.
Pep Guardiola is one of the best managers in the world at the moment, with 20 trophies under his belt with Barcelona and Bayern Munich. His reign at Manchester City will officially begin on July 1st. Manuel Pellegrini has had his share of success at Manchester City though, he led them to the Premier League title in 2014. He was unable to replicate that achievement though, so the club board decided to bring Guardiola instead. Aguero has received information about his new manager from fellow Argentinians that have worked with the former Barcelona boss.
Sergio Aguero said: "Lionel Messi has told me he is very impressive and other players with whom I have spoken have said the same. I think he is a coach who will put a lot of pressure on the players and we need that. There is a reason that the club invests in important players and then a coach is very important. We hope that Pep adapts to the club and decides how we are going to play. But it is fundamental that next year we advance a bit more."
Manchester City are 7/4 at William Hill to win the Premier League title during Guardiola's first season in charge.

No doubt there will be a pressure season for City as a club not only for players and coaches but all who are involved in the club. Maybe Aguero is right and the players needs to be pushed and I guess Guardiola will do exactly that. So lets see how good they could be.

Manchester City needs to kinda rebuild their squad. I am pretty sure that at least half of the players are not in Guardiolas plans, starting with Mandanda and...

Manchester City needs to kinda rebuild their squad. I am pretty sure that at least half of the players are not in Guardiolas plans, starting with Mandanda and Jesus Navas. Yaya Toure said he will leave since he and Pep have some misunderstandings. Overrall, Manchester City squad is overpopulated with some of questionable players who are not able to play on such high level that is expected.

Manchester City achived maximum this year with this team and with Manuel Pellegrini as coach so i really dont see the right reason to sack him, maybe only comercial reason to put Guardiola as coach. With few good buying of players they can lift the titlle in Premier League next year.
