Premier League: Claudio Ranieri urges Leicester star players to remain at the club

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri insists his best players should stay at the club at least for another season. There is obvious interest from big clubs for most of they important players that have taken Leicester City to an unbelievable achievement this season, winning the Premier League after having started as 5000-1 underdogs. The latest rumours have involved midfielder N'Golo Kante, who has been linked with former champions Chelsea and also with Serie A champions Juventus.

Ranieri said: "I feel it is possible, maybe, to keep all the players. It is important for us but it is important also for them because they don't know the Champions League. If they go away, it is not good for them. It is much better if they improve another year here and then go wherever they want. But I have said so many times if one player comes to me and says 'I want to go', then I leave him to go because it is okay."

Two of the club's first-team players agree with the manager: full-backs Christian Fuchs and Danny Simpson. Fuchs said: "We're playing Champions League football next season. Isn't that a good enough reason to stay at this club? I think all the lads know what this team is all about. So why not stay? I believe that. Bringing in other players is not in my hands but it's going to be a tough challenge and I think everybody should simply look forward to it." Simpson added: "I want everyone to stay because it is a special group. Hopefully they stay and we can kick on because we are going places."

Leicester City are 25/1 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title again next season.

I honestly think that man is absolutely right. It is a family composed of similar people of similar character. We have seen how they play to each other, how celebrate victory together, this is a rarity in some other bigger clubs.
If this team disperse immediately after the end of the season will be a big mistake.
Champions League next season is motivation for all of them to play together one more season.

I think that all players gave their best in the previous season and only that led to such good results. Therefore, I am more then convinced that this team should stay together because it will be beneficial for both the club and players. I believe that they together can make good results in the Champion league!

It's really nice to hear this. I encourage his message, since I think that they played amazingly this season. Vardy, Mehrez, Schmeichel, Kante, Drinkwater and Morgan played out of their minds. So if they get few quality singings (not talking top class players, thats out of option cause of finances and club philosophy) we could see Leicester City on rampage even on next seasons Champions League.

Wowow nice to hear this. I trust players that they will listen to their coach Claudio Ranieri and try to live a dream next season too. Vardy and Mahrez proved that they are great players and two of them working together should be most important thing for them in their future of career. If they go to somewhere else they will sit on the bench, Leicester is best place for them and they have something magical there.

It will be very hard to keep al the best players in the club and even to strengthen their squad for next season which will be very hard becouse of champions league. Vardy will probably stay becouse he is 29 years old, but Mahrez and Kante will be very hard to keep even though they have great salaries in Leicester.

It is normal from Clauido.I dont expect to see the Foxes signing some top star players.Ranieri will look to make the team stronger but he will be searching compact players that would fit in perfectly in the system of the Leicester City.He will only need more good players to have in rotation because of CL.

Obviously will be tough for Ranieri to keep all these players in the team, after the miracle they did this season there will be quite tempted offers for some of them. But Ranieri doesn't have to be worry, he probably will receive some funds to spent during summer and he just proved that he could make a PL champions a bunch of "crappy" players that nobody wants in their team. Not any more ; )
