Mighty Real Madrid will continue their Primera Liga title chase with a tricky trip to Real Sociedad on Saturday. Zinedine Zidane's men are looking for their 10th consecutive league victory, in this case the three points would move them at the top of the table as Barcelona and Atletico Madrid play later in the evening. Sociedad have only managed to win one of their previous 17 league matches against Real Madrid, who snatched 13 wins. But that success was last season and it was heavy as Sociedad won 4-2 at home.
Real Sociedad have nothing left to play for as they have secured their survival in the Primera Liga with a goalless draw at Villarreal last weekend. But they do enjoy the matches against the big teams, the most recent example is their 1-0 win over league leaders Barcelona this month. They have not been able to win a match since that glorious victory, but against Real Madrid they will surely have the same motivation. Carlos Martinez and Imanol Agirretxe are injured, while former Arsenal striker Carlos Vela is suspended.
Real Madrid are coming from nine consecutive league wins, a streak that, combined with Barcelona's hiccups, brought them just one point below the top two. Last weekend they defeated Rayo Vallecano 3-2 to keep the hopes alive and they will most likely have to win all their remaining matches in order to put some pressure on Barca and Atletico. On Tuesday they came back with a goalless draw from their Champions League semi-final visit to Manchester City. Cristiano Ronaldo will most likely miss out as Zidane hopes to have him fit for the second leg against Manchester City. Karim Benzema is out with a hamstring injury.
Sociedad: Rulli - Zaldua, Elustondo, I.Martinez, Yuri - Illarramendi, Reyes, Bergara - Mikel, Bruma, Zurutuza
Real Madrid: Navas - Danilo, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo - Kroos, Casemiro, Modric - Vazquez, Jese, Bale
My prediction: Real Madrid to win 1-0.

This was expected to be very tough match for Los Blancos and eventually it was like that.It is normal, because they will face tough challenge against Manchester City in next few days. This win ,by late goal scored by Gareth Bale will mean a lot to Los Merengues because it keeps them alive in the race for the title.
Although it wasn't easy Real takes what it needs from that one. The battle in Spain continued to the very last day of the League and although Real was never the leading team in the standings the certainly put some pressure on Barcelona in the last weeks of Primera in a championship they wouldn't be even in a title race without Barcelona's mistakes close to the season closure.
