Primera Liga: Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid preview
Real Madrid's Primera Liga title chase can take another severe hit if Ronaldo and company won't manage a win at Real Sociedad on Saturday. Not many teams have secured points at the Anoeta Stadium this season though. Real Madrid got back on track after two consecutive league defeats with a 5-0 win over Rayo last weekend and a 3-0 success over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday. Carlo Ancelotti's men are currently third in the league table, three points behind Atletico Madrid and two behind Barcelona. Real Sociedad have lost just two of fifteen league matches at home this season. Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao were defeated at the Anoeta this season and Real Sociedad, currently fifth in the table, are fighting for Champions League qualification as they are six points behind fourth-placed Bilbao. Real Madrid could be without Cristiano Ronaldo for Saturday's match as the Portuguese star was withdrawn 10 minutes from time in the match against Dortmund. Coach Ancelotti played down the problem as a "minor annoyance". Midfielder Xabi Alonso praised Ronaldo for his discipline: "Cristiano did the right thing in coming off as a precaution but I don't think he'll have any problems for Saturday. I think he could progress well and be ready to play. He has a small niggle. It's not surprising that there are so many injuries. We have to be careful with the calendar because everything's very close together." Real Madrid could also have to do without left back Marcelo once again after he was confirmed to be suffering from a torn hamstring earlier this week. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Real Sociedad win - 17/4 Draw - 16/5 Real Madrid win - 4/7
