High-flying West Ham United continue their efforts to strengthen the squad for next season as Sky Sports report that they are are set to negotiate with Serie A outfit Torino about signing central defender Nikola Maksimovic. The Hammers have already made an offer to the player's agent: a four-year contract worth 2 million pounds per season. Maksimovic is 24 years old and has already earned 9 caps for the Serbia national team.
Napoli have also been interested in Maksimovic but they failed to find an agreement over the transfer fee with Torino. West Ham are now ready to make their move for the defender who joined Torino from Red Star Belgrade back in 2013. He has made 65 appearances in the Serie A so far but hasn't managed to score any goals yet.
West Ham are determined to sign a few new players as soon as possible. Reports last month have revealed that the Hammers were looking to add a new striker to their squad, with Christian Benteke, Michy Batshuayi and Alexandre Lacazette at the top of their list. They are currently 6th in the Premier League table, 5 points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
The Hammers are 20/1 at Bet365 to clinch the much-desired top-four Premier League finish this season.

West Ham is interested for serbian defender Nikola Maksimovic , i think this is really good team for him , why , because what they have great players , and they need just him , and his still of game for their better game.

Obviousy West Ham will be looking to strengthen their squad this summer because there would be a European tournaments participation next season. I'm sue the transfer summer would be exiting for Hammers fans because there are interesting new names connected to the rumors around the team.

Nikola Maksimovic is my compatriot and I am very familiar with his career.He played in my favorite team,Red Star. There he played very well but was out of the team last few months due to bad words with management.his talent was never in doubt.I am glad to see this is happening to him because he played very good in Turin.Napoli...

Now Napoli and West Ham wants to pay millions for this player, but at the time he played for Red Star Belgrade and made a mistake in playoff of Europa League in last minut against Bordoux and cost Red Star qulification to Euro League, I will never forgive him :)

He has been doing amazingly for last year or two in Torino, many Italian teams were fighting for him but their transfer bids were not enough for Torinos management apetite.
