Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal expressed his desire to win a trophy in England after his players earned a 2-1 victory at West Ham in the replay of their FA Cup quarter-final tie. The Red Devils did produce an impressive display this time, especially coming after last weekend's 3-0 defeat at Tottenham. Marcus Rashford and Marouane Fellaini provided the goals as Manchester United will face Everton in the last four.
"I think we have pressed very high again," Van Gaal said after the final whistle. "But it is of course a risk because in the first half Enner Valencia playing was a surprise for me, he is very fast and when you press high you need to play more compact and more from your goal. But we did it, so I was very satisfied at half-time because we controlled the game and had better chances, and there was the only the chance of Valencia I think. I want to win a trophy in England. That is what I came here to do."
18-year-old Marcus Rashford got on the score sheet again for United, and his manager had flattering words for him. "He is very focused on his work and that I admire, when you are so young and there is so much attention. He is scoring so many goals and important goals," Van Gaal said about the youngster. "He can cope with criticism also and he can say about himself, 'yes manager you are right and I have to do that'. I think it is fantastic because there are not a lot of players who can see their self-image."

The game against West Ham was maybe best United game this season, after that they've had a lot of luck to win against Everton too and they are on the final test now. There will be no excuses for Van Gall if he don't win the cup, it could be the only thing that could save his job too but I think he will be released after...

When you are manager of team that is quality like Manchester United,it is normal to expect some silverware.Season of Louis Van Gaal could even be successful if he manages to win FA cup and wins a 4th place, that can bring them qualifications for Champions League. It wont be easy, but I really think that Red Devils can do this.

Louis van Gaal is searching for a way to save a season. Manchester United was underpreforming, no questions about that. A lot of money invested, and if they don't reach FA cup finals that will mean that all that investment went down the drain since team didn't manage to compete for any trophy this season. Eventho I dislike Manchester United I would like to see LVG go, since I don't think that he can put MU back on their old glory track.
