Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, has confirmed that the Old Trafford club had submitted an official bid for him. Lazio refused to let him go though. The Brazilian said: “An offer came in last year from Manchester United. Lazio have confirmed this and preferred to keep me to have a great season.”
The talented midfielder has done a good job at Lazio during the last couple of seasons and has attracted interest from many European outfits. He could still be a target for the Red Devils, but if Van Gaal will be replaced by Jose Mourinho then the transfer priorities might change significantly. Felipe Anderson is just 22 years old and has scored 16 league goals in 73 appearances for Lazio after joining from Santos in 2013.
Manchester United are also believed to be preparing a move for Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The striker is ready to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the current season but he will have plenty of offers to choose from as Arsenal and Chelsea are also reportedly interested in signing the 34-year-old. Manchester United are believed to be offering a 2-year contract worth no less than 24 million pounds, according to Daily Star.
Manchester United are currently 6th in the Premier League table, and they are 15/8 at Bet365 to finish inside the top four this season.

He is definatly one of bigest talents in europe i dont understand why Brazil coach keeps avoiding him. But i think his move to Manchester United would be wrong decision, premier league is not for that kind of players, it would be better for him to go to Spain , not in Barcelona or real he would be perfect for Atletico Madrid...

Lazio simply isn't team for him, since he is way better player then to fight for some 5th place in Seria A. I'm just not sure how would Premier League fit for him, since football inthere is way different then in other leagues in the world. Also Brasilian players tend not to adapt to it. Anyway, Felipe, good luck and hopefuly we will see you in England next season.

Didn't even want to discuss Zlatan Ibrahimovic - this guy is like the most overrated player ever in the history of football, so many teams paid crazy numbers for him over the years, and he scores one spectacular goal every 10 games on average - not exactly enough for a striker, more so the expensive one ever. It's ridiculous for United to spend such amount for a players and then play with 5 or 6 youth academy players who are by the way better than many of those 30mill buys.

He is young and talented player but I doubt he can be the major midfield boost to bring success back to Manchester United. I remember one more Anderson that came to United for big money from Porto and didn't show that he deserves amount of money that he has been paid. Maybe they will have more luck with this one.
