High-flying West Ham are putting together a list of names from which they will eventually pick a new striker for the club. The top names on the list, according to sources quoted by Sky Sports, are those of Christian Benteke, Michy Batshuayi and Alexandre Lacazette. The Hammers will most likely qualify for an European competition this season, even then Champions League seems reachable at this point.
Christian Benteke has been struggling to find his place at Liverpool, so the Reds will probably look to offload him this summer. He has not started a league match since January 2 and only managed to score one goal in his last 16 matches. Fellow Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi has been in great form this season for Marseille, scoring 18 goals in all competitions so far. Marseille would part company with him but only for over 30 million pounds.
Lyon's France international Alexandre Lacazette, aged 24, has scored 16 goals in 35 appearances this season. Andy Carroll, Nikica Jelavic, Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia have played as strikers for West Ham this season, but only managed to score 13 league goals between them. The top league goal scorer for the club is midfielder Dimitri Payet, who has found the back of the net eight times so far.
West Ham are 11/2 at Bet365 to finish inside the Premier League top four this season.

If they manage to sign Christian benteke it would be great deal for them, he really reminds me of Didier Drogba a real modern complete foward, they should take adventage becouse he is not in first plans in Liverpool,Jurgen Klop gave him a chance yesterday agains Swansea and he scored, but Klop probably wont keep him next...

I think Benteke could be a great option for West Ham, he has an awful season with Liverpool and probably would be released by the Reds. From the other hand even Zlatan Ibrahimovic name was mentioned in the last days so there's could be very interesting transfers ahead of West Ham especially if they are qualified for the...

West Ham does need a true number 9 striker. Andy Carroll has been struggling with injuries for year now. Non the less he is a great striker, but since there is real chance for them placing position 4, which means Champion League qualifies new striker has to be acquired. From those names above I can see only Michy Batshuayi...

From those names above I can see only Michy Batshuayi doing significant job in Hammers team. Also, their biggest battle is gonna be keeping Alex Song for next season, hopefully as a permanent deal.

Wow, any of these players would boost West Ham's attacking firepower. Benteke is currently out of form but we all remember how good player he was at Aston Villa. Lacazette would be great player, but I think he is aiming higher than West Ham. I can see him in Arsenal or some other highly reputable club. Batshuayi could be...

Lacazette would be great player, but I think he is aiming higher than West Ham. I can see him in Arsenal or some other highly reputable club. Batshuayi could be heading to WHU but I doubt they can afford him. Still, the best business for WHU this summer would be if they keep Payet.
