Lewis Hamilton believes he will be involved in a close fight with Ferrari this season. Last weekend Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg won the Australian Grand Prix, while Hamilton finished second. Ferrari seemed competitive throughout practice and qualifying, but missed their chance to win the race due to a strategy error.
"Ferrari's overall race pace, I was never really around them, but I thought they looked quite quick," Hamilton said. "They were on a different tyre to me on a different strategy, so he looked quick at the end. Hopefully we are going to have more close races like that going forward, but I don't think Nico had trouble staying behind him on the medium tyres when he was on the supersofts."
"I've a really good feeling about my pace, you've seen all weekend that I was ahead," Hamilton added. "But I am hoping it is going to be a good battle. There are going to be races where we are five to 10 seconds ahead and races where we will be wheel-to-wheel. We have 20 races from here so there is a long, long way to go. I just look at 2014, I was 25 points down from here, so this is a blessing, seven points behind and I am really happy."
Lewis Hamilton is 4/7 at Bet365 to win the Formula 1 Drivers Championship this season.

Ferrari missed a great opportunity in the first race in which they've leaded and it appears the question if the team have got not only the car but even the confidence to be number 1. This is the season for them and Vettel to show that they still know how to win.

A big shame Ferrari didn't win that . They should've win in Australia. Excellent start by Vettel and Raikkonen . They dictated the tempo to the red flag, but after a team mistake happened and they failed. It was an excellent race. This will be an interesting season, Toro Rosso is getting better, Red Bull also looks strong. Generally,...
