Snooker: Ronnie O'Sullivan to compete at World Grand Prix
Fresh Welsh Open champion Ronnie O'Sullivan has confirmed that he will play at the World Grand Prix ranking event in Wales next month. O'Sullivan qualified for his event after defeating Neil Robertson 9-5 at the Welsh Open in Cardiff last weekend. O'Sullivan, a five-time world champion, is in demand for exhibition matches all over the world. He was scheduled to play such a match with Jimmy White in Morocco on March 12th, but now the event has been postponed for April 9th. The World Grand Prix takes place between 8 and 13 March in Llandudno, Wales. "The Rocket" has played in this tournament last year, managed to reach the final but lost 10-7 to Judd Trump. After this event there will be just two more ranking tournaments, the Players Championship and China Open, before the grand finale of the season: the World Championship in Sheffield. O'Sullivan said he is "not really bothered" about the World Championship this year and that he will "treat it like a vacation". Even so, he is the top favourite to win the World Championship according to the bookmakers: he is 7/4 at Bet365 to win his sixth title at the Crucible this season.
