Back UEFA Champions League: Paris Saint-Germain vs Chelsea preview

Paris Saint-Germain will do their best to gain some advantage at the end of the first leg when they welcome Chelsea to Paris on Wednesday in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The two sides have bet just once before in an European clash and Chelsea won 3-0 in Paris back in 2004-2005 when Chelsea had Jose Mourinho at the helm. PSG have only managed to win one of seven matches against English opposition, losing three. However, Chelsea's success in Paris in 2004 is their only win on French soil.

PSG went past Bayer Leverkusen in the previous round and are unbeaten in their last 28 home matches in Europe. They are also on a seven-game winning streak in Ligue 1, a run which propelled them 13 points clear at the top of the table. Chelsea defeated Galatasaray 3-1 on aggregate in the previous round and are looking forward to reaching the Champions League semi-finals for the eighth time in the last eleven seasons. However, the Blues have suffered a setback in the Premier League last weekend, they were defeated 1-0 at Crystal Palace and were leapfrogged by Liverpool at the top of the table.

The home side have no injury concerns and no suspensions either. PSG should feature Yohan Cabaye, Marco Verratti and Blaise Matuidi in midfield while their fearsome attacking trio should be ready to score with Edinson Cavani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ezequiel Lavezzi. Chelsea will have to do without Samuel Eto'o due to a hamstring injury while Ashley Cole is also out with a knee injury.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

PSG win - 21/20 Draw - 12/5 Chelsea win - 16/5
