Back Massimiliano Allegri rejects Chelsea link

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri says there is no truth in reports linking him with Chelsea. The Italian coach has been named as a probable successor to Guus Hiddink at Chelsea as the Dutchman's interim manager contract will run out at the end of the season. Former manager Giovanni Galeone, who has coached Allegri when he was a player, said on Tuesday that his former pupil will become Chelsea's new boss and that he had received a "fantastic" offer from Roman Abramovich.

Allegri has won the Italian Serie A title with two different teams, AC Milan and Juventus, and is currently trying to win another one with the Bianconeri. He has dismissed the speculation: "There's nothing to it. I cannot either confirm or deny something that doesn't exist. I want this matter over and done with now. What's important for me right now is to get to the end of the season with Juventus and try and win some silverware."

Juventus are on a good streak of form, they have won 17 of their last 18 competitive matches and are two points off current Serie A leaders Napoli. They will play Napoli next Sunday in what should be a tough derby, while they also have a Champions League tie with Bayern Munich to worry about, along with a Coppa Italia semi-final clash with Inter Milan.

Juventus are currently 8/11 at Bet365 to win the Serie A title this season.
