Premier League: Norwich City vs Liverpool preview
Norwich will host Liverpool on Saturday at Carrow Road in a match between two sides that will be looking to recover from recent defeats. The Canaries have not beaten Liverpool in more than 20 years, their last triumph against the Reds was back in 1994. Since then Liverpool have beaten Norwich nine times, while two fixtures ended in draws, including the reverse fixture at Anfield Road this season. Norwich have collected 15 points at home so far this season, while only 8 points were gained on the road. Last weekend they were defeated 3-0 by fellow relegation battlers Bournemouth. In fact, Norwich have conceded three goals in all their last three competitive matches. They have one of the most leaky defences in the league, with 38 goals conceded. Manager Alex Neil has already signed two defenders in January, Timm Klose from Wolfsburg and Ivo Pinto from Dinamo Zagreb. A new striker has also been added to the squad: Everton's Steven Naismith. All three new signings should make the starting eleven this weekend. Liverpool have won just five Premier League matches out of 14 under new boss Jurgen Klopp, a rather precarious return considering all the hype that surrounded the new manager. They have been able to win at Chelsea and Manchester City, but their overall form has been inconsistent at best. The Reds scored 17 goals in those 14 matches, a run that was concluded last weekend with a 1-0 home defeat against bitter rivals Manchester United. Daniel Sturridge is back in training but will most likely miss this weekend's match while Philippe Coutinho, Divock Origi and Martin Skrtel remain injured. Probable line-ups: Norwich: Rudd - Pinto, Klose, Bassong, Brady - Odjidja, Howson, Tettey, Jarvis - Hoolahan, Naismith Liverpool: Mignolet - Clyne, Lovren, Sakho, Moreno - Henderson, Can, Milner - Ibe, Lallana, Firmino My prediction: Liverpool to win 2-1. Here are the odds for the match at Bet365: Norwich win - 4.33 Draw - 3.50 Liverpool win - 1.95
