Back Premier League: Manchester City vs Everton preview

Manchester City will be looking to continue their good run of form when they face Everton on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium. The Citizens have won their last four games in all competitions and are six points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea after the 4-1 victory at Sunderland in midweek. Last weekend Man City defeated second-placed Southampton 3-0 at St Mary's.

The match against Everton comes before a big appointment for Manuel Pellegrini's men, which is next week's decisive match against Roma in the Champions League. Everton are not doing too well lately, they were held to a home draw by Hull City in midweek and dropped to the bottom half of the league table.

James McCarthy remains out for the Toffees, along with John Stones, Antolin Alcaraz, Darron Gibson and Steven Naismith. Then home side will be without captain Vincent Kompany due to a hamstring strain but the Belgian could recover before next week's Champions League clash. David Silva will most likely remain out while Edin Dzeko and Aleksander Kolarov will surely miss out.

Probable line-ups:

Man City: Hart - Zabaleta, Mangala, Demichelis, Clichy - Navas, Toure, Fernandinho, Nasri - Jovetic, Aguero

Everton: Howard - Coleman, Jagielka, Distin, Baines - Besic, Barry - Mirallas, Barkley, Pienaar - Lukaku

My prediction: Man City to win 2-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

Man City win - 1/2 Draw - 15/4 Everton win - 6/1
