Back Premier League: Manchester United terminate Adnan Januzaj loan deal

Manchester United have decided to recall Adnan Januzaj from his loan at Borussia Dortmund. The deal was supposed to last until next summer but the 20-year-old Belgium international has not played enough at Dortmund since the start of the loan agreement. He has made just 12 appearances this season and only three in the starting eleven.

Januzaj has not played at all for Dortmund since the Europa League match against Paok Thessaloniki on December 10. Before moving to Dortmund he had played four times for Manchester United at the start of the season and also scored the winning goal at Aston Villa. He is under contract with the Red Devils until 2018.

In November Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal hinted at a possible early return to Old Trafford for Januzaj. "At a club like Borussia Dortmund, all the players are also of a certain level," the manager said. "I said in advance that's a big risk, because you have to compete with other players of a higher level and that's not so easy. We have to wait and see because now he doesn't play."

Manchester United are 20/1 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title this season.
