Premier League: Vincent Kompany out for up to one month
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany suffered a new injury, again on his calf, and he will be out for three to four weeks, according to manager Manuel Pellegrini. Kompany was taken off during the Boxing Day match against Sunderland after coming in as a substitute. On Tuesday City recorded a goalless draw at former league leaders Leicester, which was their first clean sheet of the season without Kompany at the heart of the defence. "It is the same calf but a different part," said Pellegrini about the defender's injury. Kopany has missed 11 of the 19 league matches that his team has played so far this season. He suffered a calf injury during his side's Champions League match against Juventus on 15 September. He returned to action at the end of October but suffered another injury that kept him out until Boxing Day. He only managed to play nine minutes during City's 4-1 victory over Sunderland. Manchester City are currently third in the Premier League table and they are 11/8 at Bet365 to win the title this season.
