Chelsea suffered yet another defeat, 2-1 at league leaders Leicester on Monday, and manager Jose Mourinho says he feels his "work was betrayed" by his players. This was the ninth defeat in sixteen games for Chelsea this season. The Blues are just one point above the relegation zone in 16th place.
"One of my best qualities is to read the game for my players and I feel like my work was betrayed," Mourinho said. "One possibility is that I did an amazing job last season and brought the players to a level that is not their level and now they can't maintain it." Next weekend Chelsea will face Sunderland, if they lose again they will fall into the relegation zone. "I accept we are in the relegation zone but I don't accept we are in a relegation battle," said Mourinho. "You look at the table and we are there but you think you are in a relegation battle if you think you are there for three or four months. I don't think that. To turn things around, I know only one way - working at the top level. Day by day in training I have no complaints with players. But it is frustrating to see what they are doing in training and what they do in matches."
"We can't finish top four, but we can still finish top six because so many teams are dropping points. At the moment we are in a zone where I feel ashamed," Mourinho added. "The only thing I can say is that I want to be the manager. I have no doubts and I think you know me well enough to know that I am not afraid of a big challenge and in this moment it is a really big challenge. I want to stay and I hope Mr Roman Abramovich and the board want me to stay because I want to stay."
You can now bet on whether Chelsea will get relegated or not, they are 66/1 at Bet365 to be among the three relegated teams this season. Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho is 8/11 to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job.

When the manager of a particular team says something like that it's obvious that something or everything in the club isn't right. Now when we all know the consequences of all that just looking logical that Mourinho is not longer a manager of the team and not because of the results but because of a statement like this. Everything his said in that interview sounds arrogant and even stupid, when a manager starts to blame his own players in front of the media, it's certain - it's time for him to go.

I absolutely agree with h34dhunt3r, Mourinho should leave the club or Roman Abramovich should fire him out and hire a new manager. Jo5é is only a weak or inadequate coach. Fortunately the "Park The Bus" tactic is not working anymore. And don't forget he sold a lot of good players (for example De Bruyne, Schürrle, Mata)...

Fortunately the "Park The Bus" tactic is not working anymore. And don't forget he sold a lot of good players (for example De Bruyne, Schürrle, Mata) and did not want to give a new contract for some players as well (Lampard, Drogba). I'm sure Chelsea will be better after the management of the Portuguese. In my opinion this is not a rebellion only a series of fair results with a low quality manager.

I don't even know anymore. I was supporting this guy until recently, but now I think he should just go. Team atmosphere is at it's lowest, players don't belive and don't trust him anymore. There have been few major misplays done by him: They came back one week later then others from pre-season period, resulting in only few days of a rest before Comunity Sheeld match vs Arsenal. He sack Eva Carneiro who was with the club all these years and players disapproved that. He even didn't let them attend her weeding day. And also, Diego Costa. That guy is most annoying player in the world, always blaming others. Just let Falcao and Remy play already.
