Back UEFA Champions League: Olympiakos vs Arsenal preview

Arsenal will need a big victory in Greece on Wednesday if they want to reach the knockout stages of the Champions League for the 16th consecutive season. Arsene Wenger and his men have to win by more than one goal, or record a narrow win but with three or more goals scored by the Gunners. Olympiakos beat Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium in September, and Arsenal would need to at least match that result in Greece.

Striker Joel Campbell opened the scoring for Arsenal in last weekend's 3-1 Premier League win over Sunderland on Saturday. "We got the result and that's what we wanted," Campbell said after the match. "Now we have to prepare mentally and physically for Wednesday's game because it will be very difficult. We already played against Olympiacos at Emirates Stadium. They are a great team, a great rival and especially because they play at home. It is the most important game of the season so far. It will be a cup final and we have to win to continue in the Champions League."

The Costa Rica international striker has played for Olympiakos during the 2013-2014 season as he was on loan from the Gunners. "In the Pireo Stadium it is very difficult to get points but it is the last game of the group stage and we will give our best," he said. History doesn't look too well for the Gunners as they have lost three times since Olympiakos in Greece in the last six years. The home side will be without Felipe Pardo due to a calf injury while Arsenal have confirmed that Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin will be out until next year.

My prediction: Arsenal to win 3-2.
