India's Central Crime Branch (CCB) busted a cricket betting racket following a raid initiated by a tip.

Manish Panjabi (38), Vybhav Parek (35) and Sunil Kumar (38) were among those arrested and authorities seized cash, a laptop and mobile phones.

The CCB say the men are accused of collecting bets for the leader of the operation, known as Sukhdev from Rajasthan, who has not yet been located.

Proprietary software was reportedly used to run the inter-state cricket betting racket.

Thus far, police have discovered 52 cricket betting rings in 2015 having arrested 25 bookies according to deputy commissioner of police R. Ramesh.

Over in Malaysian officials arrested 27 people after raiding a series of properties and seizing 230 computers at 21 locations across Selangor and Johor.

"Apart from computers, laptops and modems were also seized together with cash amounting to RM1,498," Bukit Aman Anti-Vice, Gaming and Secret Societies (D7) Principal Assistant Director Datuk Roslee Chik revealed to Bernama News.
