Liverpool will be looking to bounce back after the surprise defeat against Crystal Palace when they visit Premier League leaders Manchester City on Saturday. Liverpool have defeated defending champions Chelsea in October but a good result against the current leaders will really give a significant confidence boost to Jurgen Klopp and his men. The last victory for Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium was back in 2008, Dirk Kuyt scored the winner in a spectacular 3-2. Since that match both sides won four direct meetings in all competitions while another seven matches ended in draws.
Manchester City are tied with Arsenal on 26 points, so any slip-up could see them lose the leadership this weekend. The 4-1 defeat at Tottenham at the end of September raised several questions about the Citizens' title credentials, but Manuel Pellegrini's men responded in style. After that humbling defeat they thrashed Newcastle 6-1 and Bournemouth 5-1 but were held to goalless draws by Manchester United and Aston Villa. Sergio Aguero will make his return to the starting eleven, he has not played since the match against Newcastle. David Silva has not yet recovered, while Vincent Kompany and Wilfried Bony are also sidelined. Samir Nasri will be out until February.
So far Jurgen Klopp has recorded one win, two draws and one defeat in the Premier League since taking charge at Anfield Road. The defeat against Crystal Palace was particularly painful, as the Reds' supporters were hoping for a lot more after the victory against defending champions Chelsea. There will probably be some new signings coming in January, so the current players have just a few weeks to prove themselves worthy of wearing the Liverpool shirt in the future. Daniel Sturridge is fit again but he will most likely have a place on the bench, while Mamadou Sakho is out for a couple of months.
Man City: Hart - Sagna, Mangala, Otamendi, Kolarov - Fernando, Fernandinho - De Bruyne, Toure, Sterling - Aguero
Liverpool: Mignolet - Clyne, Lovren, Skrtel, Moreno - Lucas, Can - Lallana, Ibe, Coutinho - Benteke
My prediction: Manchester City to win 2-0.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Man City win - 1.70 Draw - 4.00 Liverpool win - 5.50

This was the game where Jurgen Klopp showed that he is a coach for team like Liverpool. Manchester City, even whit Aguero, Sterling and De Bruyne was without chance to win. This day was Liverpool day. My prediction was to City win 2 : 0, but it was big miss.

Unfortunately another match, shameful lost by Manchester City. Everybody expects a win from City today, but Liverpool took us down. But to lose 1-4 on your own field in a league where you could be on first place if you win is a bit shameful. Important to note is that between these 2 teams was the 10th match over 2.5 goals.

Liverpool will be without the services of Sacko at the back and they have to face against Sterling, de Bruyne, Silva and Aguero... Manchester City will outscore the visitors :(. My prediction is: 3-1.

Manchester City has a lot better team, but it can not mean anything if Liverpool plays tactically good game. Great news for citizens is Aguero, and his return to the field. If anyone knows how to play these games then it is coach Jürgen Klopp. As Borussia against Bayern, and now I think he can motivate his team.

No doubt that this is the most interesting game this week. Hopefully Liverpool could take something from that game and make the Premier League standings even tighter. From the other side City couldn't afford to drop any points here. It's maybe looking too early for this kind of comments but I believe that this could be...

It's maybe looking too early for this kind of comments but I believe that this could be a keen game for the season not only of Manchester City but for Liverpool too. Will be a tense but hopefully entertaining game in the same time.

We can expect one hard match, and I think that Manchester City will win this time. Whit Aguero and Sterling in attack City is more dangerous than Liverpool. No one can stop Aguero to score when he is in form. Sterling is playing against his ex club, so i expect from him to score. My prediction is also 2-0 for City.
