Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas says he feels targeted by criticism lately, mainly because he was one of the best players at Chelsea last season. The 28-year-old playmaker was indeed instrumental for Chelsea last season, creating 95 scoring chances and delivering 18 Premier League assists. This season he has recorded just one assist so far and Chelsea are currently 16th in the Premier League table.
"If you play well you are the first to have the finger pointed at you when things are going badly," Fabregas said, while on international duty with the Spanish national team. "When things go well you are the best and when things go wrong you are finished, you are useless. Those of us who have been most criticised are Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and myself, but you get used to it."
Fabregas also insisted the squad are still supporting manager Jose Mourinho. "Mourinho trusts us and we trust him," the midfielder added. "Obviously it is a lie, that I had led a mutiny against Mourinho. I backed him in a very difficult time. My relationship with Mourinho is good, as always, but when things aren't going well people are always looking for something."
Chelsea are currently 15 points behind leaders Manchester City and 13 points off Manchester United in the fourth and final Champions League spot. They are 10/3 at Bet365 to clinch a top-four Premier League finish this season.

It is not usual situation to see players not talking all the best about Mourinho.Situation in Chelsea is really bad, everybody is looking to find out who is guilty for this, but it is normal to expect that everyone is guilty a little bit.Fabregas is experienced players and he is mart enough to know that he should not make...

And what Fabregas expects - maybe all the fans to cheer for his amazing performance this season. When you are a football superstar there's a lot of privileges but also a lot of duties. It's pretty logical that the most famous players are also the most criticized. It's just the way things run and Chelsea just sucks this...

In my opinion rebellion against Jose Mourinho would be an unnecessary thing. Abramovich is the boss and not the players. If he wants to keep José as the manager the rebelled players will be in big trouble. I think the Portugues is not a top traine anymore and this is why Chelsea are bad.

Another example that one individual can not make a team, or when a team plays well, everybody plays well. Last season they won the title, he and Eden Hazard were one of the best players, and now the two of them can not assist and neither to score goals. When I watch their games, almost can not see them on the ground..
