Back Premier League: Sergio Aguero set to return against Liverpool

Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero is targeting a return to Premier League football when his side face Liverpool. The Argentinian striker is now close to a return to fitness after a seven-match absence due to a hamstring injury he had suffered while on international duty.

Manchester City, who are leading the Premier League table at the moment, play at home against Liverpool on November 21. Fellow striker Wilfried Bony has suffered an injury during Sunday's goalless draw against Aston Villa, so manager Manuel Pellegrini would be quite happy to see Aguero return in his starting line up.

"I don't think I'm too far away now," Aguero said. "Physically, I feel good and I've kept as fit as I can during my lay-off. I still need to work hard for another week and if not this week, then maybe next, I hope to start training with the rest of the lads, and so and my target is Liverpool. I'll take things slowly and not rush into anything, but I'm not far away."

Sergio Aguero scored five goals in 20 minutes in his last appearance against Newcastle at the start of October. He is 11/4 at Bet365 to become the Premier League top goalscorer this season.
