Back Premier League: Swansea vs Arsenal preview

Arsenal will be looking to extend their solid run when they visit Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday. The home side got back to winning ways with a success at Aston Villa last weekend while a weakened Gunners side got knocked out of the League Cup this week. The head-to-head record between these two teams shows a surprising advantage for Swansea, they have won four of the last eight meetings against Arsenal, including both matches last season.

The 2-1 victory over Aston Villa last weekend relieved some of the pressure off Garry Monk's shoulders after six consecutive matches without a win. Swansea are pretty much on track though, their aim is to finish inside the Premier League top ten and they are currently 12th in the table, so there's no panic, at least not yet. The manager will probably choose to field the same eleven as last weekend, with striker Bafetimbi Gomis looking to finally score after six league matches without a goal.

Arsenal have extended their Premier League winning streak to four games by beating Everton 2-1 last weekend, but on Tuesday night they were hammered 3-0 by Sheffield Wednesday in the League Cup. It's true that Wenger fielded many youth players in that match, but a 3-0 defeat to a Championship side is still worrying. Moreover, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott got injured, adding their names to an already long list which includes Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck.

Probable line-ups:

Swansea: Fabianski - Naughton, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor - Shelvey, Ki - Montero, Sigurdsson, Ayew - Gomis

Arsenal: Cech - Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal - Flamini, Coquelin - Cazorla, Ozil, Snachez - Giroud

My prediction: Arsenal to win 2-1.

Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
