Sports bettors around the world were unable to place bets on Saturday as a result of an outage of the Betfair exchange.
Betfair Support tweeted throughout the day apologizing for the delay in service and assuring its customers that engineers were working to resolve the issue.
"The Exchange is back up and running. Some markets remain suspended and these are still being investigated”, Betfair tweeted and on Friday the company tweeted "Our Live Video provider Perform are experiencing issues with a number of feeds on our Live Video. We're working with them to fix the issues."
The reason for the outage is unclear but there is no doubt that this left a lot of angry punters over the weekend.

You cant see a worse thing for one betting service than this.It is even worse cause this happened on Saturday.Betfair did their job pretty professional so far,but things like this will affect their reputation a lot. They will have to put some promotions and good offers,if they want to regain confidence of the customers.

Betfair Betting Exchange is unique feature and some of the punters too can't use a replacement site because there is just too few bookies who offers similar opportunities.

I think not only the punters were angry. They can place their bets on other sites as well. But I'm a trader and I can use only betfair to do that. I had a lot of placed bets on the weekend (both back and lay but on different markets) and I couldn't manage my positions. I contacted the Support and I asked them to void my bets because of the high liability of my balance (approx. 15%). They refused my request. In my opinion this is a very disgraceful behavior. Finally I was lucky and I finished that day with a high profit but this is not my cup of tea.
