After Sunday's 1-1 draw against Southampton, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says his players must get rid of the fear that takes control of them every time things don't go well for them on the pitch. Christian Benteke had given Liverpool the lead against Southampton at Anfield but Sadio Mane made it all square late in the game.
"It's only a goal, only a game of football. It's like it's the last thing in your life and we have to calm this down," said Klopp after the match. "I don't understand this pressure but the guys feel it. I hope I'm not the only person in the stadium who thought 'this is not the end of the world'. We can work on this."
The German manager, who replaced Brendan Rodgers as Liverpool manager earlier this month, has not yet won a league game for the Reds but believes his team are playing better and better. "I saw development, I saw the next step, but at the end we are disappointed because of the result," added Klopp. "The problem is the other teams don't wait for us - they want to win, they want to beat us. Football is not a fairytale. Sometimes we write stories like this but today it didn't happen. We can change a lot of things if it's necessary but not all things will work from the start. If you work something you are not 100% better the next day."
Liverpool are currently ninth in the Premier League table and they are 5/2 at Bet365 to clinch a top-four finish this season.

I love the passion that is brought to the club with the arrival of Jurgen Klopp. You can see the difference in their approach since the first game.I am sure that Reds will be very good team after one or two transfer windows.Klopp already has names in his head.

Jürgen Klopp already made great things with Liverpool. They are playing with much more energy, concentration and possesion. Also, they changed their style of play. Now, they pressure high and that is good for all football fans. In next couple games, I think that Liverpool will be at top level.

First of all I don't think they play well enough at the moment to not feel this pressure.When they start playing better the psychological pressure also will go down and they will start...

The things are connected really, but it's true that it's tough to show your best game when there is physiological load in the players minds.

Rodgers signed some overrated or inadequate players who are not on the same level as a Gerrard or a Xabi Alonso. I think the January transfer window will be a very important point for Klopp's career.

Jürgen Klopp is not a magician, and there is no magic wand, generally believe that bringing players in Liverpool by some of their board was very poor. The problem has existed for some time, scouting was bad. Should be left to take some time and then see the results.
