A clash of titans will take place at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday as Paris Saint-Germain welcome Real Madrid in their Champions League group stage match. Both sides have taken six points out of six so far in the group stage, so this match will most likely decide who will win the group. The two sides have met in 1993 and 1994, first in the UEFA Cup and then in the Cup Winners' Cup, and PSG have been strongest on both occasions. They secured a 5-4 aggregate success the first time and then won the second 2-1.
PSG are undefeated so far this season, winning 11 and drawing the other two in all competitions. Laurent Blanc's men seem to be running away with the Ligue 1 title, but the club owners will be hoping for glory in the Champions League this time. They last last reached the semi-finals all the way back in 1995, so they will be hoping to at least match that performance this season. David Luiz will be unavailable due to a knee issue, but Marco Verratti has recovered from a calf injury.
Real Madrid defeated both Shakhtar Donetsk and Malmo so far, both expected results, with Cristiano Ronaldo bagging a hat-trick against the Ukrainians. They have not lost an away group match in the Champions League since 2012. Karim Benzema will most likely miss out due to a hamstring injury, but Luka Modric and Sergio Ramos could recover in time to play. Pepe, Dani Carvajal and James Rodriguez will all miss out through injury.
As for the home team, defender David Luiz will play no part because of a knee complaint, but there is more positive news where Marco Verratti is concerned following his recovery from a calf injury.
PSG possible starting lineup: Sirigu; Maxwell, Silva, Marquinhos, Aurier; Motta, Pastore, Di Maria; Lucas, Cavani, Ibrahimovic
Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Navas; Marcelo, Ramos, Varane, Danilo; Casemiro, Kroos, Modric; Isco, Bale, Ronaldo
My prediction: 1-1 draw.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:

We all expected much more from this match. At least,we all expected to see some goals, but there was none of them. Both teams had chances to score, but it looked to me like they are all satisfied with the draw.Second match between these teams will be decisive for the first place in the group.

For a long time i waiting for this match. Paris against Madrid, Ibrahimovic against Ronaldo. Di Maria plays against his former team, where he played the best football. Fight for the first position in the group. I expect a lot from Ronald tonight, to show he is the best in the world.

Real Madrid have no center forward. I think this could be a very big disadvantage for the Spanish. Cr. Ronaldo have said he doesn't want to be CF because he prefers LW position to CF: Bale is a winger as well. On the other hand PSG have a solid def line so I think under 2,5 goals is the best choice for this match.

Biggest match of group stage for sure. Probably top contestens for this seasons Champions League, at least top five. Both teams have injury issues, but non the less we expect a great match. Home team, PSG, by bookmakers has higher chances of winning and I agree with that. This is their 'golden year', team is fully prepared,...

Home team, PSG, by bookmakers has higher chances of winning and I agree with that. This is their 'golden year', team is fully prepared, their star player Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not getting any younger so its pretty much now or never for this generation. Also Di Maria is facing team that fired him after being one of their best players, so theres motiv for him. Real should be happy with 1 point. My predictions: - Result: 2-1 for PSG; - Man of the match: Di Maria
