New boss Jurgen Klopp has led his first full training session with the Liverpool players after the international break, in preparation of his first game in charge against Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Saturday. Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva was impressed by the intensity of the training session and believes the new manager has made a good impression on his players.
"It has been very positive," Lucas said in an interview that was broadcast on Liverpool TV. "He seems to be very passionate - he likes to put in everything that he has and he asks the players for the same. Be very intense, be aggressive with yourself, is what he has been saying. Always try to be better, always give 10 metres more, because that will be the key to success. He seems to be a very open manager and someone that likes to be close to the players, but very straight as well. That's what I've learned from the last couple of days and I think it was a positive way to start."
Jurgen Klopp became well known all over Europe after developing Borussia Dortmund into a side that was playing a high-tempo attacking style. The Liverpool fans and players hope that the German boss will successfully implement the same style with the Reds. "He was so successful at his last club," Lucas added. "Of course, when a manager like him comes it always gives you a lot of hope. It's a fresh start for every player. His CV is amazing. So I think everyone is really excited to learn with him and improve as a player and a team, because that's the only way we will achieve what we want."
Liverpool are currently 10th in the Premier League table after securing just three wins out of the first eight matches of the season. The Reds are 9/4 at Bet365 to finish inside the Premier League top four this season.

This is a very sad thing when a Brendan Rodgers-type manager could manage such a big club as Liverpool. Lucas is not the best player ever, but not the worst one as well. Hodgson, Dalglish and Rodgers were big mistakes Liverpool deserve a place in the Champions League and with Klopp they can be there again.

This guy can bring a lot to Liverpool and can improve their game a little but I think that he won't make big difference because he can't change quality of players and that is problem in Liverpool. In my opinion he must have great transfer windows this winter if he want to finish in the first four places.

I am sure that we will see some new Liverpool even tomorrow,in their match against Tottenham. Klopp is the kind of the manager that can inspire player and give them selfconfidence. From the words of Lucas Leiva we understand why Jurgen Klopp is so successful manager in the last years.Obviously he train the players intensively but also motivates them whit words which is no less important. I think there are good times ahead of Liverpool with Klopp as manager although the results might not come immediately.

Great coach who knows how to raise the morale of the players, the great thing for Liverpool. I'm sure they will play better and better as time goes on. Now the players give 100% of their capabilities because they have to prove themselves to new coach. Players believe in coach and it will bring results.
