Former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti says he wants to return to the Premier League. The Italian manager has taken a break after being sacked by Real Madrid this summer. He underwent a back operation after losing the job and says he wants to end his holiday in January. He was linked with the Liverpool job but the Reds decided to appoint German boss Jurgen Klopp.
The former Chelsea boss has been out of work since being sacked by Real Madrid in the summer and then undergoing a back operation. In an interview published by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Ancelotti revealed that he would want to return to English football, where he managed Chelsea between 2009 and 2011. He won the Premier League and the FA Cup with the Blues.
"I would like to go back to the Premier League. It is the ideal environment not for football, but for the 'game' around football," Ancelotti said. "You can work there with the right amount of pressure and with the necessary detachment and calm. Before I retire, I'd like to have another experience in England. The vacation continues at least until the end of the year, then I'll start again. Where will I go? Where they call me. I will talk, evaluate and then decide. Up until a few weeks ago I was scared someone would call, but now the return is getting closer. Unless something strange happens. I am ready to get back on the bike in January."
Carlo Ancelotti is 4/1 at BetVictor to become the manager to succeed Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City.

Carlo Ancelotti is one of the best managers in modern football history. He made success everywhere he went, and we all can never forget great years with his legendary AC Milan squad. This might be his last years of managing a team, since he is not getting any younger. So if he is gonna join any english team, we should look for those who do not look for long term coach, such as Manchester City. I can see why BetVictor placed 4/1 odds, but I don't think that Pelegrini is doing that bad this season. Maybe rejoining Chelsea would be more realistic.

Carlo Ancelotti is big coach and his target is only top club and top league. He was in Spain in Real Madrid and he don't want there again because only top club beside Real is Barcelona, and in England he has a lot of big clubs and I can see him in Arsenal maybe, if Arsene Wenger ever leaves haha :)

It was a sure thing he doesn't want to manage an Italian team. Ancelotti wants to win the Champions League again as a manager and to do that he needs a really good team with possibility to signing of new players. Pellegrini is a good trainer as well but Manchester City couldn't win the Champions League title yet. Chelsea...

Pellegrini is a good trainer as well but Manchester City couldn't win the Champions League title yet. Chelsea rae suffering a bad season, Mourinho became an inadequate trainer in my opinion. Both of these teams would be a good choice for the Italian who is a top trainer.

It's obvious that Ancelotti wants his return to be exactly in England without mentioned a particular's club name. I think around new year when he plans to return there will 3 or 4 Premier League sides who will be interested to hire him. I think around new year when he plans to return there will 3 or 4 Premier League sides who will be interested to hire him. Every European manager who has an experience in the English football knows that there is not a better place for doing their job and Ancelotti as a wise man know just that.

Carlo Ancelotti is a great coach, I would prefer if he became coach of AC Roma. I do not know how it is possible that Jose Mourinho fired in Chelsea. Carlo is a coach for great teams. Liverpool has found a new coach, Manchester has a coach, and blue and red part, Arsenal also, maybe Chelsea..
