Liverpool host Sion on Thursday at Anfield for their Europa League Group B match, with the Reds looking to clinch their first victory in this year's tournament. The visitors have already clinched their win as they started the campaign with a home victory over Rubin Kazan. The two sides have met over two legs in the 1996 edition of the Cup Winners' Cup, with Liverpool 2-1 in Switzerland and 6-3 at Anfield.
Liverpool eased some of the pressure with a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League last weekend, their first three points in five games. Daniel Sturridge has returned to full fitness and had an instant impact as he bagged two goals against Villa. Sion started their Europa League adventure with a solid 2-1 home win over Rubin Kazan but their enthusiasm faded after losing their next two league games in the Swiss league. Head coach Didier Tholot will probably field the same starting eleven that defeated Rubin Kazan, with striker Moussa Konate the main threat after having scored both goals against the Russian outfit.

I am fan of Liverpool ,but I am really tired of what I am seeing from them.This was embarassing result.I hope Brendan Rodgers wont be too long manager at Anfield.Sion is not such a bad team,but matches like this should be won by the Reds easily.i hope to see some improvements soon...

Well, Liverpool just have to win this one, they are in really bad form since start of the season but the players also have to play for their manager's job in this one. In such cases the teams are extra motivated and I'm sure that they will give everything they've got. A must win for Liverpool or Brendan Rogers is probably...

Ah this is a tricky one. Liverpool is playing worst then ever, for the first time in many many years they dont have at least one true star in their lineup.
