Fortuna Entertainment Group N.V. (FEG) has entered into a brand licensing contract with BET Active Concept S.R.L. and Bet Zone S.R.L. in Romania.
The agreement will see Fortuna Game a.s. give BET ACTIVE CONCEPT S.R.L. and BET ZONE S.R.L. brand rights to its trademark in the Romanian sports betting and gaming market.
“Fortuna remains a strong and trusted brand in the Central Eastern European (CEE) sports betting market and this agreement reinforces how valuable our brand is,” said Per Widerström, chief executive officer and chairman of the Management Board of Fortuna Entertainment Group N.V.
“Licensing of our brand opens a door for a further cooperation in multi-channel sports betting and gaming services in Romania and perfectly fits into our strategy to become the no. 1 licensed sports betting & gaming operator in the CEE with the most trusted and exciting multi-channel betting & gaming brand.”

This is a very wise decision. They have an EUR 600-700 million accepted stakes with a net profi of EUR 50-60 million per year. So the Czech bookmaker is the biggest one in Central Europe. With this move they can strengthen their position because they won't have too much rivals in Romania.

As far as I know the situation with the licensing of the leading sports bookmakers in the most eastern European countries is not too good at the moment so every company which receive a license have a huge possibilities on these markets because there is not much competition. I guess the betting market in Romania is pretty...

I guess the betting market in Romania is pretty close to those here in Bulgaria and hopefully the things will be changed in future.
