Sevilla will be looking to recover from a slow start to the new Primera Liga season when they travel to face Levante on Friday evening. Unai Emery's men have snatched just one point out of two matches so far, while Levante have the same tally after the season's first couple of games. There have been 20 meetings between these two sides, Sevilla won ten of them while Levante clinched five victories. Last season Sevilla won 2-1 at Levante but were held to a 1-1 draw at home. Sevilla have won just one of their last eight league matches against Levante.
Levante ended up 14th last season, their lowest finish since 2011. The new season started with a 2-1 home defeat to Celta Vigo, which was followed by a goalless draw at Las Palmas before the international break. During the summer transfer window Levante have signed striker Deyverson from Belenenses, plus Angel Trujillo and Diego Marino and lost Loukas Vyntra, Pape Diop and David Barral, all on free transfers. Simao Junior is still unavailable for Levante, but apart from him there are no fresh injury concerns.
Sevilla enjoyed a great campaign last season, finishing fifth in the Primera Liga and winning the Europa League, a triumph which secured a place in this season's Champions League group stage. The start of the new season has not been impressive at all though. Sevilla opened with a goalless draw at Malaga before losing 3-0 at home against Atletico Madrid before the international break. They have failed to score in their first two games of a season for the first time since 1967! This summer Carlos Bacca and Aleix Vidal were allowed to leave, but the club have signed solid players like Fernando Llorente, Adil Rami, Ciro Immobile, Yevhen Konoplyanka and Steven N'Zonzi. Nicolas Pareja and Rami are out injured.

Sevilla struggle a lot on start of season. inf first three matches they have only two points without win and I can't recognize them. Now they have important match against Monchengladbach in champions league and if they don't win in that match they will be on bigger problem.

I was wrong about this match. i expected easy win for Sevilla and all was going in that direction until Levante scored. After that goal it was clear that Levante will play only defense and it was not too hard for them to keep that result and win one point. Levante is very good at home pitch,usually.They can make problems to every team and we saw that again.Sevilla was better team on the pitch,but they did not had enough luck to win this.I am sure they will have lady luck on their side in some of the future matches.

In the end I was right. I talked about Levante and their home result. It is very hard to win at their stadium and they showed that once more in this match against great Sevilla. Sevilla was better opponent I must say that but it is all about result and this result is great for Levante. Maybe next time Sevilla will have...

This is big surprise for me, I was thinking that Sevilla is much better tea than Levante and that this will be easy win for them. They started well, played well and had lead 0-1 but Levante equals and showed again that they are good home team and it won't be easy to anybody to get all three points on their stadium.

Both teams still haven't won after this one and if we can call that not a bad start of the season for Levante, for Sevilla who are one of the top teams in La Liga isn't good at all. Still they have enough time to compensate that but definitely they have to start playing better if they wish to have any chance for the Champions...

Every match in Spanish first league is hard and special if you play as guest. Levante is known as good home team and most of his points he will earn at home and it is not that simple to win against him special in Valencia. So i wouldn't expect that easy win for Sevilla and i will predict 1-1 correct score.

Tonight Sevilla is big favorite for me.They had nice transfer period with few great transfers and I expect of them to be really good this season and to finish in top four teams in Spanish league. On the other side Levante don't have enough quality to play against Sevilla and they will be satisfied with draw and one points...
