Back Bundesliga: Wolfsburg sign Dante and Julian Draxler

Wolfsburg have strengthened their squad with two high-profile transfers on deadline day: German World Cup winner Julian Draxler from Schalke and Bayern Munich defender Dante, both undisclosed fees.

Brazil international central defender Dante, aged 31, has signed a three-year contract, while Draxler, who is just 21 years old, has put pen on paper on a five-year deal. Wolfsburg have sold star midfielder Kevin De Bruyne for 55 million pounds to Manchester City on Sunday.

Dante has been playing for champions Bayern Munich since 2012, making 86 appearances and scoring 3 goals. He has 13 international caps for Brazil and two goals. Julian Draxler came through the youth ranks at Schalke and made his senior debut in 2011 at the age of 17. He has made 118 appearances for Schalke, scoring 18 goals. He already has 15 senior caps for Germany.

Wolfsburg will compete in Manchester United's Champions League group and the German side are 1.53 at Bet365 to qualify from that group, which also contains CSKA Moscow and PSV Eindhoven.
