Serie A: Mario Balotelli joins AC Milan on loan

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli returns to AC Milan on a season-long loan deal, according to an official announcement made by the Italian club. The player has taken a pay cut in order to move back to Italy, but Liverpool will continue to pay a part of his wages.

The Italian striker, now aged 25, could make his return for AC Milan in the Serie A match against Empoli on Saturday. He has bagged just one goal in the Premier League for Liverpool after having joined the Reds for 16 million pounds in August 2014. He didn't travel with the Liverpool squad for the pre-season tour and has been training separately from the first team.

With Liverpool having signed forwards Christian Benteke, Roberto Firmino and Danny Ings, plus Divock Origi returning after a year on loan at Lille, it was quite clear that Balotelli had very slim chances of featuring in the first team at Anfield Road this season. Balotelli has already played for AC Milan between 2013 and 2014, for a season and a half, scoring 26 goals in 43 appearances.

AC Milan are 3.50 at Bet365 to finish inside the Serie A top 3 this season.

This is great news but for Liverpool fans :). I just don't see how Mario Balotelli can help anyone. Milan have some great strikers and I don't know why they sign Mario. Bacca is great striker and he will be first option of Milan for sure and I don't see how Mario will fit in, he have experience in Seria A but I think that is not enough.

Mario Balotelli is a big mistake that was made in Milan. They brought an attacker who can only making them problems in the dressing room with the players. He's still out serious football for a year at Liverpool he was not able to play a good game. We'll see what Mihajlovic expected of him, but I think it is wrong that he loan him.

This move by AC Milan is very risky. Mario Balotelli is a great player and when he "showed" couple of years ago everybody expected that he will become one of the best players in the world. But that didn't happened because of his temper. He is so "wild" and he is "exploding" so easy on the field. It will be interesting to see if this is mistake or not.

I have really lost any faith in Balotelli. He simply is not man that you can count on.There is the fact that he is big fan of AC Milan,he might get concentrated to do the trainings well, but I am really doubtful about that. This might be last chance for Super Mario to become top player.

What do You think, which of these players will be a bench player: Luiz Adrian (bought for EUR 8 million), Carlos Bacca (bought for EUR 24 million) or Loser Mario (on loan)? Mario will not get a lot of chances to play, so he'll go back to Liverpool at the end of the season. I'm sorry about it because Mario was a huge talent. but he had bad attitude too.

Balotelli has talent that is undeniable, but this player is the typical "bad boy," his extra field actions are reprehensible, and he seems disruptive. I don´t know exactly if was a good deal for Milan, depends on what Mario Balotelli will prioritize, play ball or just live a life without rules, the coach must take action to the player not spoil the work environment on the team.

Milan is so lucking in class players not only in attack but in all lines on the field that Balotelli will be an easy number 1 choice in most of their games. I don't like him as a person and as a player but I think he will broke the record from last season with Liverpool when he scored 2! goals, this season he will score a lot more- maybe 5 or 6 : D

Did You read about Balotelli's contract details? These are applied to people who serve in the Italian air force. He must not damage the club's image and his Twitter, Facebook and Instagram posts will be closely monitored. He cannot have extravagant haircuts and clothing. It has forbidden to visit night clubs. No smoking and limited drinking. AC Milan will be a prison for Super Mario :). Mission Impossible.

Mario Balotelli will be big boost for Milan this year. I read about him a lot, he works very hard on training and he was nice so far. he has incredible talent and everybody knows that and with a lot of hard work he can be top striker. Together with Bacca he can bring a lot of goals to Milan and I think that will be the case this season.

And the Balotelli show has started:
He has had his driving licence confiscated after going 109 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. What was his answer? He 'hadn't realised' the speed limit whilst driving. LOL.
Itf AC Milan wants, they can send back Super Mario to Liverpool immediately due to one of the agreement's points.

I think that Maria Balotelli knows that this is his maybe last chance to make great career and play for big club. I think that he must take this serious, work hard and show that he can be the best striker in Europe. Milan is great chance fr that because he knows well clubs in Seria A and he can fit in very quick. I think that this can be good thing for Mario Balotelli.

A great player but sometimes that is not enough to be the best. Very few goals scored in the previous season, and I think it will bring nothing good for Mihajlovic team. His behavior outside the stadium is worrying. I think he will scores less than 10 goals this season. This is his maybe last chance to make career and play for big club.
