Back Premier League: Manchester City close to finalising Kevin De Bruyne transfer

Manchester City are getting very close to finalising the deal to sign Kevin De Bruyne from Wolfsburg, according to Sky Sports. The club have been negotiating for quite some time and it is believed that last week they have been close to agreeing a 50-million pounds transfer fee. It is believed that the deal could go through on Tuesday.

De Bruyne was present at Wolfsburg's training ground on Sunday but he did not take part in any training sessions with his team-mates. The Belgium international was expected to train with the squad on Monday though. He played a full match for Wolfsburg on Saturday, 1-1 draw with FC Koln. The 24-year-old spent two seasons with Chelsea but decided to move in January 2014 in order to get regular first team football.

In June he confirmed his agent had had informal contact with City representatives. Earlier in August City have made a £47m offer for the youngster but Wolfsburg rejected the approach. Wolfsburg's sporting director Klaus Allofs denied that a formal offer had been made, but then admitted that he was expecting a bid shortly. Wolfsburg are believed to be trying to persuade De Bruyne to stay, even though they seem to have already accepted the offer from Manchester City.

Manchester City are 1.90 at Bet365 to win the Premier League this season after winning the first three matches with eight goals scored and none conceded.
