Watford have signed former Italy international Alessandro Diamanti on a season-long loan from Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande. The midfielder, aged 32, is not new to the Premier League as he has played for West Ham in the 2009-2010 campaign, making 30 appearances and scoring 7 goals. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina.
He has 17 caps for Italy and was part of the squad that played the final of the 2012 European Championship. He becomes Watford's 12th signing of the summer. The most expensive new arrival was Jose Manuel Jurado from Spartak Moscow for 6 million pounds. The other new arrivals include goalkeeper Giedrius Arlauskis from Steaua Bucharest, Valon Behrami from Hamburg and Steven Berghuis from AZ Alkmaar.
Watford have enjoyed an undefeated start to their Premier League season after a 2-2 draw at Everton on opening day and a goalless draw at home against West Brom last weekend.
Watford are 1.72 at Bet365 to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

Diamanti already played in Premier League so he want need much time to adapt. He is experienced player and I do think that he can bring a lot to Watford. His salary surely is not big so this deal was not risky.Watford ,with all this new signings ,wont have much problems to remain in Premier League.

Anyway, he is great striker, he is typical Italian offensive player. Watford made great deal signing him and I'm pretty sure that he will be one of the...

This is great news for all football fans, especially for Watford fans. They signed a fantastic player who will bring them extra quality in offense. He is one of the best and one of the most underestimated Italian players. I am happy to see him on pitch. He will score lot of goals in this season I think. Good job for Watford....

The most important thing that Watford need this season in the Premier League is experience and this is exactly what they looking for with this Diamanti transfer. I've almost forgot his name in the last year but now in his second spell in the league he has the opportunity to be in the people mouths once again. Good luck...
