Sergio Ramos, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer, has agreed to sign a new five-year contract with Real Madrid. The World Cup winner signed the new contract during a ceremony with club president Florentino Perez on Monday.
Manchester United had made an offer of 28.6m million pounds for the 29-year-old defender while contract talks between the player and Real Madrid stalled. Now goalkeeper David De Gea, a transfer target for Real Madrid this summer, is expected to stay at Manchester United.
Ramos scored a decisive injury-time equaliser as Real defeated rivals Atletico Madrid in the 2014 Champions League final and is the longest-serving player currently at the club after goalkeeper Iker Casillas moved to FC Porto this summer. Ramos, signed for Sevilla in 2005, has been made captain by new boss Rafael Benitez. He has 128 caps for Spain and has won two European Championships with La Roja along with the 2010 World Cup.
Real Madrid are 2.75 at Bet365 to clinch the Primera Liga title this season.

This is good for Real Madrid . Ramos is one of the best defensive players in the world. He has plenty of experience in all competitions and it is necessary to Real Madrid. Ramos is a great fighter on the ground and still it shows. I hope that he will stay at Real Madrid until the end of his career .

Well, for me this was expected.Sergio Ramos is defintiely one of the best defenders in last decade. He is becoming a living legend of Real Madrid. He is getting old and Los Merengues would not receive big money for him in following years. He will probably end his career in white shirt.

For me it sounds just like a love affair LOL At the end there is a happy ending for the true love, Sergio Ramos signs a new deal with his current club until 2020. I think that it's the right move for both sides, and I'm pretty sure that...

Great deal for Real Madrid. They success to sign new contract with one of the best defenders in the world Sergio Ramos. 10 million euros on a year is big money, but he deserve that. He is new captain and leader of this team. I am sure that he will be at top level for at least five season from now.

Well I guess all the drama around Sergio Ramos is over now after he signed the new contract with Real. Probably he will stay in Madrid till the end of his career although other perspectives are also possible. I've read that he will receive around 10 million euros on a year with the new contract so not bad at all for his...
