Stoke City visit Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Saturday in a match that would see both sides trying to redeem themselves after opening-day defeats. Both sides lost 1-0 last weekend, so both are still looking to score their first goal of the campaign. The Potters won both matches against Spurs last season, 2-1 at White Hart Lane and 3-0 at the Britannia Stadium. Tottenham have won 43 times against Stoke while the Potters recorded 26 wins against the Spurs, with 19 matches drawn.
Tottenham lost 1-0 at Manchester United last weekend, with Kyle Walker scoring an unfortunate own goal. The Spurs are looking for options up front, with Emmanuel Adebayor out of the manager's plans and Roberto Soldado on his way to a transfer back to Spain. Manager Mauricio Pochettino enjoys a clean bill of health, so most likely goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and defender Danny Rose will return to the starting eleven after missing last weekend's match.
Stoke went close to securing a goalless draw against Liverpool last weekend but a late goal from Philippe Coutinho denied the Potters a share of the spoils. Xherdan Shaqiri, who became the club's record signing a couple of days after that match, could give Mark Hughes' team a bit more creativity and speed in attack. Bojan Krkic might not feature though as he still has to recover from last season's knee ligament injury, while Peter Odemwingie has picked up a hamstring strain. Ryan Shawcross should be out for a couple of months with a back injury.
Probable line-ups:
Tottenham: Lloris - Rose, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies - Mason, Bentaleb, Dembele, Eriksen, Chadli - Kane
Stoke City: Butland - Johnson, Cameron, Muniesa, Pieters - Van Ginkel, Whelan, Walters, Adam, Shaqiri - Diouf
My prediction: 1-1 draw.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Tottenham win - 1.80 Draw - 3.75 Stoke win - 5.00

This was very interesting match between two great teams. Tottenham was leading 2-0 and missed some chances to finish the game. They didn't managed to score and they lost two points. On the other side, Stoke City played great game and come back from two goals down to draw and one point. They will be very tough opponent this...

After bad start, and that "unlucky" loose from Manchester United with an own goal, I expect nothing else but win for Tottenham. Stoke made some great transfers this summer but I think that it's too early for that signings to take effect on their play. It will be interesting match and I expect goals from both sides tomorrow.

These two teams are looking for the first points in new season. They both lost first round matches.Tottenham is big favourite tomorrow in my opinion. We will probably see new aquisition of Stoke City-Shaqiri.No matter of that ,I expect to see comfortable win for Spurs. My prediction is 2 0 for Spurs.

Tottenham is an obvious favourite in this one although you never know what is going to happen in a Premier League game. Both teams started with loses in week one so that should be even an extra motivation for the teams. Probably a Spurs win but not an easy one, expecting both teams to score.
