Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will be looking to extend his team's winning streak when they face Aston Villa on Saturday. The Red Devils have recorded six wins in a row and climbed to third position in the Premier League table and last weekend they recorded a 3-0 triumph against rivals Liverpool.
Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert is not doing so well though, he has revealed that he is "down to the bare bones" as the squad prepares to play no less than five games in the space of two weeks. Lambert must replace the suspended Kieran Richardson, Alan Hutton and Tom Cleverley this weekend, while Joe Cole, Nathan Baker and Philippe Senderos are still not fully fit.
Fabian Delph made his return for Villa during the 1-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion last Saturday, a result which left the team just five points above the relegation zone.
Probable starting line-ups:
Aston Villa: Guzan - Lowton, Okore, Clark, Cissokho - Sanchez, Delph, N'Zogbia - Weimann, Agbonlahor, Benteke
Manchester United: De Gea - Valencia, Jones, Evans, Young - Carrick, Fellaini, Mata, Rooney - van Persie, Wilson
My prediction: Manchester United to win 2-1.
Here are the odds for the match at Bet365:
Aston Villa win - 21/4 Draw - 3/1 Manchester United win - 8/13

@seculla if you think bad period like last few season that is ok, but if you mean bad period last mount you are wrong. Manchester playing better and better and I think that their place in first four spots is guaranteed. They were better against Aston Villa but they don't have luck. What a bad period for Manchester United. First they made very big mistake last year with signing Moyes as their manager, and now when they have high-class manager and they signed some very good players they just can't find their rhythm. Now Premier League is getting into most interesting period ("boxing day") and the teams will play 5 matches in 20 days, so this should be very interesting. I hope that "Red Devils" will find a way to play better.

Manchester should have won this easily. They are playing good game in last couple weeks. They're game is improving week by week. They demonstrate against very bad Liverpool stability and good defence. Also very nice performance by De Gea. Their race for a title is now in problem, they should've play better against aston...

I expected easy win 3:0, or something..
