Manchester City have made a £47m bid for Wolfsburg's Kevin de Bruyne, according sources quoted by Sky Sports. The former Chelsea player has been on City's radar for quite some time but Wolfsburg have previously denied having received an official bid.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder was unable to break into the first team at Chelsea and was sold to Wolfsburg. He said that he had contact with City while his agent, Patrick De Koster, admitted that they are waiting for an agreement to be reached between the two clubs. De Koster said: "I have read a lot of nonsense in the media. Kevin remains a Wolfsburg player and is focused on his job at the club. We are waiting to discover whether any agreement has been reached between the clubs. That is for the clubs to decide, and not for us. There is no medical planned at this stage, and he is happy at Wolfsburg."
Wolfsburg's managing director, Klaus Allofs, has said he expects the youngster to remain at the club. Last month he said: "Kevin hasn't come to us or asked if we would agree to let him go. So if you would ask me today, if Kevin will stay in Wolfsburg, my answer would be yes – 99.9 percent." De Bruyne had a great season in the Bundesliga, bagging 16 goals in 49 appearances.
Manchester City are 3.00 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title this season.

Great player! One of my favourite. I agree whit seculla that he is maybe the biggest "mistake" of Mourinho. Yaya Ture - De Bruyne- Frenandinho - Silva! It looks fantastic! Whit aguero and sterling, I think that City will win Premier League. And they will try to make a great result in Champions League this year.

I was convinced that he is a great player when I saw him for a first time in play and he was still a Chelsea player. No doubt that Mourinho is very successful manager but he left this player to leave his team and now City are ready to spend 50 mil for him!? I'm curious what's Jose thinking now because that's one of his most obvious mistakes as a manager.

It seems that almost every time there is an attempt to buy a player, the parties deny that there is an offer. Kevin De Bruyne made a great season at Wolfsburg, indeed, the whole team was very well in the Bundesliga. Surely if not for the City, and is really out of Wolfsburg your destination is a top-tier team.

I've commented many times about Kevin de Bruyne, and I think that I've never told something bad about him. He is great player and maybe the biggest "mistake" of Mourinho was that he didn't "trusted" him and than he let him go back to Wolfsburg. Now, if Manchester City success to sign him it will be the best signing for...

Well, this could be fantastic deal for the Citizens.De Bruyne is already top class player. He would fit in very good in the squad of Manchester City.City has the money that is needed to sign Kevin.Wolfsburg will ask for lot of money, but they will sell him eventually.Simply ,they are smart enough not to reject about 40-50...
