Back Primera Liga: Bale and Benzema will remain at Real, says Rafael Benitez

Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez is confident that Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema will remain at the club despite the latest transfer rumours. Gareth Bale, aged 26, has been linked with a move to Manchester United while Karim Benzema, aged 27, reportedly is a target for Arsenal.

"I'm not going to talk about offers," said Benitez. "Everything is well and Bale is going to have a good season with us, I'm sure." About Benzema's situation, he added: "My answer is that I think Benzema is going to stay with us. I'm very happy with him."

Bale might be a target for Manchester United after the Red Devils all but completed Angel Di Maria's £44.5m move to Paris St-Germain. "Gareth is a huge player for us and I know that he's happy," added Benitez. The Spanish coach refused to comment on the possibility of signing Manchester United's David De Gea. "I've said in five previous press conferences that I don't want to talk about players who are in other teams," he said. "We have three very good keepers. I can talk about them, not other goalkeepers."

Real Madrid are 2.62 at Bet365 to win the Primera Liga title next season.
