Angel Di Maria has travelled to Doha on Sunday to undergo his medical check ahead of a proposed move from Manchester United to Paris Saint Germain. The transfer is believed to be worth 44 million pounds. Manchester United had paid more than that to bring him from Real Madrid last summer, the transfer fee was £59.7m, a new British record.
Di Maria was given an extended holiday after competing for Argentina at the Copa America but then didn't join the rest of the United squad on their pre-season tour of the United States. The player posed for photos with fans in Qatar on Sunday and was preparing for the medical tests on Monday.
The Argentinian winger had a good start at Manchester United, with three goals in his first four appearances, but then his form faded and he even struggled to get into the starting eleven towards the end of the season. Manager Louis Van Gaal has already bought a few first-team midfielders (Memphis Depay, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin) while winger Ashley Young signed a new contract with the club. However, it seems that the Dutch boss might want to replace Di Maria with Barcelona winger Pedro.
Paris Saint-Germain are 17.00 at Bet365 to win the Champions League next season.

One of my favorite players, he proved his skill in Benfica, Real...and for sure now in PSG.I dont understand the decision to let him go by Real Madrid managment, its probably their worst decision a long with selling Ozil to Arsena,Morata to Juventus and Higuain to Napoli!

Di Maria is great player. I still can't believe why Van Gaal is selling him, after only one season spent in Manchester United. On the other side I totally agree with sharpe that he will be one of the most influential players in PSG. PSG is very rich club and they can afford to buy almost any player, they've made great squad...

I believe that Di Maria will fit to a PSG style of play and probably he will be one of their most influential players next season. He is a great player and every manager will be glad to have him in his squad(except for Van Gaal) so it's not going to be so difficult for him to get use with the French style of life and football.
