Premier League champions Chelsea will take on FA Cup winners Arsenal for the Community Shield on Sunday at Wembley in what should be another episode of the fierce rivalry between Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger. The Gunners' manager was criticised by the Chelsea boss this summer and the Frenchman didn't pass the opportunity for a reply, even though he refused to respond directly to Mourinho's comments.
"If you add up the amounts clubs have spent in the last three or four years, I think maybe you will find a surprise," Mourinho said. "If you put Mesut Ozil plus Alexis Sanchez, plus Calum Chambers, plus Mathieu Debuchy, you will find a surprise. It's a fantastic squad with good players, fantastic goalkeeper, they are more than ready to be title contenders."
Wenger has not won in 13 matches against the Portuguese. "We spend when we think we have to spend and do not listen to what people think or say,” Wenger said. "When we don't have the money, we don't spend the money we haven't got." This summer Arsenal have made only one signing: Petr Cech from Chelsea for 10 million pounds. They are reported to be chasing Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema but the deal is far from secure. The Gunners have won the Community Shield last summer, beating Manchester City. Chelsea have signed keeper Asmir Begovic from Stoke and striker Radamel Falcao this summer.
My prediction: Arsenal to win 2-1.

Arsenal is in better form at the moment, they played great in friendly matches before this start of season and I was expecting to see them lift this trophy. But this is only first trophy of the season and in my opinion least important so I expect that Chelsea will be better during the season and they will win all important...

Arsenal were better opponent in this match and they won the title deservedly. They scored goal good goal and success to defend that lead till the end of the game. Also, they had few chances to score and to secure win. On the other side, Chelsea were very confused. They need to improve their play in offense.

After match,Mourinho started to talk about defensive approach of Arsenal in this match.Every title that Jose Mourinho has won in his career,was won with defensive approach.He really cant complain on that.I am happy to see the Gunners winning trophies again.Good job for Arsene Wenger in this match.

Will be interesting for us to see how ready for the new season are two of the title contenders. Community Shield games are always spectacular with no much of a tough for a defense so I expecting another attacking style game from both teams. Not the most important cup but still both teams have a chance to start the season...

What a great start of the new season in England. With this Community Shield game we'll see how much Arsenal improved during this summer. Mourinho's Chelsea are 99% the same team from last season and I think that they are even stronger than last season. It will be great game and I expect at least three goals later today.
