Southampton have completed the signing of Netherlands midfielder Jordy Clasie from Feyenoord for a fee that is believed to be around 8 million pounds. Clasie, aged 24, has signed a five-year contract with the Saints. He has previously worked under current manager Ronald Koeman at Feyenoord, where he made 129 appearances. He has 11 caps for his national team and was included in the 2014 World Cup squad.
"It's a big club playing in what I think is the biggest and most important league," Clasie said. He is Southampton's fifth signing of the summer. The deal was done just two days after the Saints sold midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin to Manchester United for 25 million pounds.
Southampton executive director of football Les Reed said: "Jordy is one of the most highly sought after midfielders in Europe. His qualities are plain to see for anybody who has watched his development over the past few years as closely as we have. We are delighted he will continue his growth at Southampton." Juanmi, Cuco Martina, Cedric Soares and Maarten Stekelenburg are the previous four summer signings for the Saints.
Southampton are 3.25 at Bet365 to clinch a top six Premier League finish next season.

I totally agree with sharpe, especially when it comes to Southamton. They are making very good transfers. Jordy Clasie is great young player, he is very talented and I expect nothing less than making Southamton team more stronger for the next Premier League season.

Southampton and Swansea are the two clubs who working in the most effective way both on and off the field in the Premier League I think. Southampton all ready made not few but many transfers in the last few years which bring an enormous winnings to the club. They investing in young talents from all across the world which later reselling x20 or 30 times the initial investment. If that's not a good business I don't know what it is. Moreover both Southampton and Swansea playing constantly good no matter which player they sell or who is their manager at the moment. All of the " big clubs" in the league just could envy and learn from those two.

Southamthon had few fantastic deals in transfer market last few seasons. They have sold many players for the fantastic amounts of money,so now they can spend more and avoid risky buyments. This deal is good ,I expect Jordy Clasie to become regular first team player in Southampthon.
