Manchester United would have to spend at least £35m if they wanted to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, his agent said. Louis van Gaal is believed to be looking for a new striker after selling Robin van Persie to Fenerbahce. Manchester United do have Javier Hernandez but it seems they might want to sell him, while for youngster James Wilson becoming a first-team regular might be a bit too much at this stage in his career.
Lewandowski's agent Cezary Kucharski says the Polish striker would require a very high transfer fee in order to persuade Bayern to let him go. Kucharski said: "I think it would have to be a very high offer, definitely higher than £35m for Bayern to consider selling. Robert is one of the most valued strikers on the market who guarantees goals, guarantees assists, excitement. He has shown that over many years during his career. Every year he is an even better player and plays at a higher level and that is very important for other clubs because he has credibility and guarantees at least 30 goals a season."
The agent also added that there would be more clubs interested in his client, not only from the Premier League: "With a player of Robert's class, the truth is that not a lot of work is required because really there are only two directions in which he could go in the future, England or Spain, and only with Bayern Munich's acceptance. There must be a signal from the club, from Munich. There is no such signal so we are not thinking about it, because even thinking about a change of club would be unfair in my opinion to the current employers. There is no reason, apart from money to be honest, to even think about it.”

After all those signings so far this summer I think that we can expect another one or two great players to join them.

Well,Robert Lewandowski is one fo the best attackers in the world and there is no doubt about that.I am simply surprised with amount of money that can Louis Van Gaal spend. He really has got big budget. With this money,I am sure that even David Moyes would not be worse than Van Gaal.

Well, United spending like crazy in the last year and a half and any club could ask whatever amount they dream of and is quite possible to receive it from them. I'm not saying that Lewandowski isn't a great player but last season with Bayern was not so successful for him and I think he is far away from the form he was back in Dortmund. But anyway Mr.. Ed Woodward could spent more for a worst players so...The Biggest problem for United is that they could spend as much as they want but in the end they still have to play under Van Gaal's boring "system".
