Liverpool have reached an agreement with Manchester City over the transfer of young talent Raheem Sterling, the Citizens will have to pay 49 million pounds. Now the 20-year-old England international will negotiate personal terms with Manchester City before the deal can go through.
Sterling had required to leave Liverpool and the club rejected two offers from Manchester City last month. If the deal goes through Sterling will become the most expensive English player of all time. He is still under contract with Liverpool until 2017 but has rejected a contract extension worth 100,000 pounds per week. He was signed by the Reds from QPR when he was just 15 years old and the Rangers will receive 20 percent of what Liverpool get from Manchester City.
Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard said he was "disappointed" with Sterling's attitude towards the club as the forward refused to go on tour with the team this summer. "You don't have to throw in illness, or refuse to go on tour," Gerrard said. "The fans have shown him great support, they want him to stay and I believe that he should too."
Manchester City are 3.75 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title next season.

It is good to see that this is finally fnished. It really started to get boring of Sterling transfer story. He is top class player and he will definitely be big advantage to the squad of the CItizens. Liverpool does not need unhappy player so they will be happy with this deal,I suppose.

Raheem Sterling was decided to leave Liverpool even before the end of last season and Man City take advantage of that. His agent spoke about how he wants trophies not money but I guess his salary will be even higher at City. Anyway he's an overrated player all the way so I don't think this a big loss for Liverpool, it's...

There were so many stories about Raheem Sterling and his future, and finally today that "saga" ended. He is a great player, and I personally think that Manchester City need player of his profile, but we must be real and say that 49 Millions are way too much money for him. But when money "talks" the story is way different....
