Arsenal are close to completing the signing of Chelsea veteran goalkeeper Petr Cech, according to BBC Sport. The two clubs are currently discussing the details of the move, which will be Arsenal's first incoming transfer of the summer.Cech's agent had revealed last month the player had been given permission to speak to other clubs, even though manager Jose Mourinho said he wanted him to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Cech has been at Stamford Bridge for no less than 11 years but last season he featured in just 16 games after being replaced as first-choice goalie by youngster Thibaut Courtois. The Czech Republic international has over 300 appearances for Chelsea and has won several honours with the club: four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, a Champions League, an Europa League and three League Cups.
Chelsea captain John Terry said that Arsenal would be sure of gathering at most 15 extra points next season with Cech between the sticks. Terry said: "There is obviously talk of Arsenal signing Petr and if they do get Pete, that will strengthen them for sure. He will save them 12 to 15 points a season. I am sure if he does leave the club, which nobody wants to see, but we understand he wants to play football, he is going to be sorely missed. He will improve whatever side he goes to."
Arsenal are 5.50 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title next season.

Arsenal has not had a world class goalkeeper in a long itme, and this transfer is the best for them in the last few years. I like that Arsenal finally brings good players and tries to comparing with Chelsea and Manchester United. Petr Cech is probably the best goalkeeper in Premier league in the last ten years.

Arsenal must be very very happy with this transfer, they will finally have decent goalkeeper with all respect for their goalkeepers so far. Petr Cech will bring a lot of experience to this team, they will be better in defense and I think that they can now finally start building serious team with serious chances to win Premier...

This was only logic move by Petr Cech. he is great goalkeeper and legend of Chelsea but now it is time to leave. In Arsenal he will be goalkeeper number one and I am sure that with him on goal Arsenal can be one of the favorites for title. I agree ith h34dhunt3r. Czech is something like a legend to thefans of Blues,but simply,he could not find anymore minutes to show his quality when his rival for the place in the team is Courtois.Honestly,he is the best goalkeeper in Arsenal in last 5 years,that is for sure.

Although this transfer is not completed still yet, it's a pretty expected move from Cech side and will be a great transfer for Arsenal. The Gunners are great team in the last years but always seems that small piece is missing for them to be a contenders for the title. Is this piece is Cech? Well, I don't know but for sure...

I am a little bit surprised with this ,but It is probably the best option for all three sides.Czech will stay in London,and paly for the great club.Arsenal finally has a goalkeeper that is one of the best in the world and Chelsea has released the player that had pretty big salary for a substitute.Everyone is happy now.

Like I said before I believe that he will bring all needed skills in order to help Arsenal. Someone said today that he can bring 15 more points to Arsenal only because his goalkeeper quality in overal. He will be great addition in Arsenal, and I believe that every supporter of this club could be joyful right now
