Lewis Hamilton blamed a technical problem for his result at the Austrian Grand Prix, where he finishes second behind team-mate Nico Rosberg. Hamilton started the race from pole position but he was passed before the first corner by Rosberg, who then held on to win the race.
"I did everything I was supposed to do but the clutch keeps under-performing," Hamilton said. The British driver believes that the problem started after the team made some changes to the cars' clutches before last month's Spanish GP. "Since then I have been having bad starts," Hamilton said. "Nico was having bad starts and then they changed everything and now he is having good starts and I am having bad starts. It's just the way it goes."
"It's disappointing when the car just doesn't get off the line fast enough and there is nothing you can do about it on a track like this where you just can't overtake unless you're much faster," Hamilton added. "I had a problem with the wait revs. I took my foot off the gas and it was still on - like the throttle was still on - and then I dumped the clutch and just (had) lots and lots of wheel spin."

For me Luis Hamilton is not the best driver in Formula 1. Kimi is the best and if he drive for Mercedes I think that he will be champion for sure. Hamilton just have a lot of luck that he is part of Mercedes and he can only be tankful for great team who do everything for him and he just need to get into the car and finish...

I think that Hamilton shouldn't look for excuses now. He is still first driver with 10 points more than Rosberg and I am sure that he is better driver but in this race Nico was better and that is it. Nico had better start, keep Hamilton behind and deserved to win here but still Hamilton have better chances to defend title...

I agree with sharpe.Biggest difference between Rosberg and Hamilton is in their mind.Hamilton ahs much more menthal strength then Rosberg.When it comes to the end,Lewis Hamilton will surely handle the pressure much better then Rosberg. Also,I think that Hamilton will protected more by the team.

I don't know if Hamilton is the best driver in Formula1 ( infact I'm pretty sure that he isn't ; ) but he drives by far the best car and his explanations in the above article for some technical problems sound like excuses for me.But no problems we don't expect from him to say- Nico was faster than me. And I don't think...

And I don't think that he is unlucky too, he is just too aggressive driver and with that style it's more likely to damage the car. But for those who are Hamilton fans - don't worry he will be champion again, Rosberg is just too soft in the critical situations, it's not a matter of how fast driver he is, it's a mater of character.

I agree with you,Shumar4life. Hamilton aint no lucky this year with his car.Honestly,Mercedes has by far the best vehicles this season,but Rosberg never had any big problems with his machine.Hamilton is much better driver then Rosberg and I hope that he is going to win the title.

Hamilton is such good driver, but he hasn't luck in this season. I can remember some situation like in Monte Carlo where he lost his race because team's mistake. In other hand he has the most powerful Formula this year and he must prove his quality on the field, not just to be in newspapers.

I agree with galata, Hamilton is in great form, and he is maybe the best driver right now in Formula 1. As we can see, maybe relations between two drivers for Mercedes and their team are not so great, which we can conclude from last couple of races. Even of that "problem" Mercedes are by far the best team in F1 this season,...

I agree with Alexa, but you posted very funny comment. without clutch is impossible to drive these cars :) Hamilton is in a very good form, but the key of his success is an engine, which is the best in formula 1 now. For me, Rosberg can use the title this year.

Hamilton can talk now about this ,but this is pretty often situation in Formula 1. Technical prepareness of vehicle is one of the most important factors in races.Hamilton is great driver,I really think he is biggest favourite to win the championship trophy this season,with or without clutch :(
