Back Premier League: Jack Wilshere charged with misconduct

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association after singing offensive chants during Sunday's FA Cup victory parade in London. The 23-year-old England international incited fans in three chants that included mocking remarks against rivals Tottenham. He did apologise for what he had done, but since he was warned for exactly the same thing last season the FA might not be too lenient with him.

Wilshere took to the microphone during the parade and asked the fans: "We've got one question. And one question only. What do we think of Tottenham? S**t! What do you think of s**t? Tottenham! Thank you." Arsenal staff have spoken to him after the incident but the club will not be taking action against him.

The FA issued the following statement: "It is alleged his conduct in making and/or inciting certain comments during the club's open bus trophy tour was improper and/or brought the game into disrepute." Wilshere could face a ban that would see him miss the beginning of next season.

Arsenal are 5.50 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title next season.
