Brendan Rodgers will keep his manager job at Liverpool following a meeting with the club's co-owner Tom Werner. The meeting took place on Tuesday as part of Werner's end-of-season review. It was an unsuccessful season for the Reds, with no silverware, a sixth place in the Premier League and no Champions League football next season.
Despite the results Rodgers and Werner agreed on a "comprehensive plan" that should improve things next season. Rodgers took the job on June 1 in 2012 but after ending the season with a shameful 6-1 defeat at Stoke he admitted that his future at the club might be in doubt. After the match he said: "I've always said if the owners want me to go, then I go."
Rodgers had a much better time during his first season at Anfield, when he came close to a first title win in 24 years. That title was lost to Manchester City, then the Reds lost Luis Suarez and a disappointing season followed, with Liverpool failing to progress from the group stage of the Champions League.
Liverpool are 21.00 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title next season.

I just think that Brendan Rogers is great manager but he is not manager for big club. He was doing great job with Swansea where he had a lot of time and where he was doing job without any pressure and here in Liverpool when everybody expects trophies is not so easy to be good and that is his biggest problem.

If some club wants to have a great coach, they must have faith in him. Liverpool must give him a one more year,to show them that he has what it takes to bring success to them. He only needs some help or instructions during the transfer window,we all saw what he made from the Reds last year, when they had respectable team.

Brendan Rodgers is great coach, but not so good manager. All players he bought last summer are miss. They didn't show quality. He pulled the most out of this team. In this transfer window Rodgers needs to do better job. He can't replace one fantastic player with three average. When he realize that Liverpool will be competitive...

In fact I think that Brendan Rodgers is a good manager and probably this is the right decision for Liverpool to give him more time leading the club. Of course the next season will be intense for him because if this years achievement be repeated again in the next he will be out of the club. Will be interesting if Liverpool...

I have to disagree with Alexa. Brendan Rodgers simply is not top class coach, and with that he can't lead team like Liverpool on their path to glory. Last summer's signings indicate that he is not good manager aswell, as he failed to do anything significant while spending over 100 million euros, mostly on mid-tier players...

Last summer's signings indicate that he is not good manager aswell, as he failed to do anything significant while spending over 100 million euros, mostly on mid-tier players who got overpaid. This summer Gerrard leaves, Sterling is unhappy at the club, Lovren and Markovic failed to impress. Really hard times to be Liverpools fan.

Honestly ,I really think that this is very smart decision by Liverpool bosses.I dont think that they can find a better manager than Brendan Rodgers. There is only Klopp as a solution, but he has decided to take a year off.Rodgers should only be more smart in the transfer window he is very talented manager.

I've said this many times, and I'll say it again: I just don't understand why people that own Liverpool still trust Brendan Rodgers and keep him on their bench. It's my opinion, maybe some members won't agree with me but I believe that he is not the only reason for Liverpool's bad results, but he is the biggest one. Now...

It's my opinion, maybe some members won't agree with me but I believe that he is not the only reason for Liverpool's bad results, but he is the biggest one. Now when Steve G. left, and when rumors about Sterling's leaving are louder and louder, I really don't see how he will "improve" this team.
