Liverpool are preparing to negotiate with Manchester City and England midfielder James Milner this week. The England international is currently out of contract as his Manchester City deal expires. The 29-year-old midfielder would join Liverpool on July 1st.
Milner moved to Manchester City in 2010 from Aston Villa, after spells at Leeds United, his hometown club, and Newcastle United. The move to Manchester City was worth around 25 million pounds.
He has won the Premier League title on two occasions with Manchester City and also lifted the the FA Cup once during his five-year spell at the Citizens. His England debut came in 2009 against Holland, and he remained a regular ever since, recording 53 caps and one goal.
Liverpool are 21.00 at Bet365 to win the Premier League title next season.

James Milner is the most over-rated player I ever see. He is product of Manchester City and England and one more big talents who never was like everybody expects. But he can help Liverpool a lot. he is big worker and without Steven Gerrard they need somebody on that position and Milner could be great backup.

We all agree about the fact that it would be smart for the Reds to sign him. It seems that Brendan Rodgers is remaining at the club,so he will be in charge for the transfers. He can bring this club to glory,I am not unsure about him...He only needs to buy the very best players for the money he has.

James Milner - once one of the biggest talents of english football didn't make career as expected. Sure he won Premier League, sure he was in Manchester City, but player like is shouldn't be on the bench any moment of his career. Liverpool might be good place for him, since blues from Manchester are gonna remont their team...

Liverpool might be good place for him, since blues from Manchester are gonna remont their team upside down this summer. Liverpool should have looked for players like him last summer aswell, insted of wasting over million euros on mid-class players.

For me, Milner is the most overrated player in the England national team. Liverpool did last season too bad transfers, but this would also be very bad. Liverpool should be thinking about Sterling. If they keep him for another couple of seasons, it would be great.

James Milner is a "working horse" on the field and I had always like those kind of players. He is maybe not the most talented player out there but he is everywhere on the field even if he plays as a central forward in particular game. And that it's what game is all about. Everybody cheer on the goal scorers or the most skill players but in fact the players like James Milner are those who are ready to die on the field for their team. He didn't play enough games at City for the past years and he had to leave long time ago like some of the ignored british players in City had all ready done it.

I agree with rikimartin, James Milner is very good player, even he is not so young, he is very helpful in the middle of the field and also he can play attack and defense. My opinion is that if Liverpool manage to sign him it will be very big plus for both sides. Liverpool will get very good midfielder and James Milner will...

James Milner is good player. He can play at several position and because of that every manager wants to have Milner in squad. Also, he is out of contract and that is important thing for both sides. He will get bigger salary, and Liverpool will sign good player for free. Also, important thing is that he is domestic player,...

I never liked him as a player.I think that he is not capable of playing in big clubs, with huge ambitions. He is good player, that is not doubtful, but in City he never showed quality that he was showing in Aston Villa. The fact that Liverpool will sign him for free is main reason for this transfer I suppose. He is a player...
